WOKE to Social Justice
From August 21 through October 20, 2018, seven elements of our WOKE exhibition are on display at the Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library, at the College of Charleston. This academic year (2018-19) College faculty are focused on providing students with a raised awareness of and the skills to address sustainability issues related to social justice and fair distribution across economic, environmental and social systems.
Contributions from the WOKE exhibition are intended to encourage students to pause and think about the implications of "Social Justice and Fair Distribution" in Charleston and South Carolina, through the treatment of Africans and African descendants in life and death.
